701 CCA Summer Camp Session 5: Indian Folk Art

Students will explore the history, motifs and techniques of Indian folk art styles such as Madhubani, which uses bright colors and intricate patterns, and Warli, which creates characters using a simple and complex line style.

In this session taught by local art teacher Jugnu Verma, students will have the opportunity to produce their own colorful paintings based on their own individual design. Creating Warli style figures is one of the easiest art forms, making this workshop perfect for beginners.

The workshop session lasts from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily from July 29-Aug. 2, 2019. The cost is $110 for members of 701 CCA or $125 for non-members.

The workshop is open to children ages 9-12. Register online at https://www.701cca.org/summercamp.
