701 CCA Summer Camp Session 3: Space Walk: Digital Painting
In this class, students will build an electronic device that will transmit their movements to produce an interactive picture in real-time.
The class, taught by UofSC College of Engineering and Computing Associate Professor Dr. MVS Chandrashekhar, will explore the creative process of mark-making through computer science and technology by using commercial accelerometers in conjunction with an open source microprocessor. Family and friends will be invited on the last day of the workshop to see the students present an interdisciplinary performance where a digital painting is produced in real-time.
The workshop session lasts from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily from July 15-19, 2019. The cost is $110 for members of 701 CCA or $125 for non-members.
The workshop is open to children ages 13-17. Register online at https://www.701cca.org/summercamp.
