Nearparent app helps parents keep kids safe
Parents with smart phones can now download an app that can help them better ensure the safety of their children. Nearparent allows users to create a network of trusted users, made up of family and friends, who can assist a child in trouble at the touch of a button. Children can check-in every now and then to let their parents know everything is OK. When they find themselves lost or in trouble, children can send out an alert — either mild or severe — to get assistance from the nearest person in their parents network.
