To enter, fill out an entry form online or print form and mail. Make sure to follow the directions on the form and include all the things noted.
The top semi-finalists will be notified by mail and posted on our website by May 30. Accepted entry photos received by mail will not be returned. These semi-finalists will appear before a panel of industry professionals in July. Six Cover Kid winners will be selected on future Palmetto Parent covers. All finalists may have the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot for editorial photography.

What type of photo should I submit?
A 4"x6" or 5"x7" photo shows off your child best. Photos with their smiling faces are better than pictures that are taken at a distance. It's okay to have a full body shot, as long as their face clearly shows. Photos do not need to be headshots or professionally taken. We are looking at the child. We do not recommend sending wallet size or photos on the copy machine. The photo needs to be able to reproduce clearly. If you wish to submit electronically, please provide an image no smaller than 300dpi at full size.
What age children can be entered in the contest?
Newborn to 12 years.
How many photos may be submitted?
Please send only one photo per entry. Entries with more than one photo will be disqualified.
Who picks the winners?
We have an industry panel of judges from local talent agencies and photography studios. Judges pick winners based on appearances, charisma, expression, and having that special something. Judges are instructed to judge with no discrimination towards gender or race. Please understand the judges have a difficult job. Judges' decisions are final.
When will winners be announced?
The final winners will be posted on our web site.
When will we be notified if our child is one of the 50 semi-finalists?
Semi-finalists will be notified by early May 2012 via mail and posted on the web site.
Will photos be returned?
Photos will not be returned.
Is this the only way I can get my child on the cover of or inside Palmetto Parent magazine?

Rules and obligations. This entry form below provides authorization to publish a photo of your child in Palmetto Parent website and magazine. Entries must be submitted online or postmarked by April 15th, 2012. By submitting entry and accepting prizes, participant agrees that name, photo or likeness may be used by Palmetto Parent without compensation of any kind. We reserve the right to correct typographical or any other errors in connection with this event. This event may be terminated at any time without notice.
